On or about January 20, 2023, two bus stops along Battery Place will be relocated or removed to new locations to facilitate installation of the permanent construction fence for the South Battery Park City Resiliency (SBPCR) Project.

The first affected bus stop located at Battery Place and West Street (Downtown Connection) will be removed from service for the project duration.

The second affected bus stop located at Battery Place and 1st Place (M20/Downtown Connection) will be relocated approximately 30-40 feet north of its current location for the project duration. This stop will only serve the Downtown Alliance bus. It will not provide M20 bus service. For M20 bus service, please utilize the adjacent M20 stop located on Battery Place between 2nd Place and 3rd Place.

The SBPCR Project is a BPCA capital project designed to provide flood risk reduction for Battery Park City and Lower Manhattan in response to increasingly frequent and more severe storms, and represents one of several projects within the overall Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency (LMCR) Master Plan. More information about the SBPCR Project can be found at bpca.ny.gov//sbpcrp.
