    The Downtown Alliance’s free bus service connects the South Street Seaport with Battery Park City
    Service is provided seven days a week, except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

    Buses come on average at 10-minute intervals on weekdays – traffic permitting – and at 15-minute intervals on weekends.

    The New York Waterway ferry runs direct from Hoboken and Jersey City to the World Financial Center ferry stop near Nelson A. Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City. Ferry information can be found at www.nywaterway.com.

    The Staten Island Ferry offers free service from Staten Island to Manhattan. Walk west from the Manhattan ferry terminal until you pass Historic Battery Park and enter BPC. For public transit directions for anywhere in New York City visit www.hopstop.com.

    Use either the southbound Westside Highway, or the FDR Drive to West Street.

    Use either the Queensborough/Ed Koch Bridge or the Midtown Tunnel to the southbound FDR Drive. Take the FDR to West Street.

    From Brooklyn:
    Use the Brooklyn-Battery/Hugh L. Carey Tunnel to West Street, or use the Brooklyn Bridge to West Street via the FDR Drive or Chambers Street.

    From Staten Island:
    Take the Staten Island Ferry to Battery Place. Battery Place wraps around Historic Battery Park and enters Battery Park City between Pier A and the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

    From New Jersey:
    Use the Holland Tunnel and follow the signs to West Street heading downtown.

    From West Street:
    Turn west onto Chambers Street, Murray Street, Vesey Street, Liberty Street, Albany Street, West Thames Street, or Battery Place.

    Public parking garages are available throughout Battery Park City and at the Battery Parking Garage between Greenwich Street and West Street. Entrances are available on Morris, Greenwich and Washington Streets.

    Since the launch of Citi Bike in the late Spring of 2013, the presence of bike sharing stations in Battery Park City has grown to keep up with demand in the neighborhood. Today, Battery Park City is host to five Citi Bike Stations located throughout the neighborhood which is great news for cyclists and travelers looking for a “green” alternative to get around town.
