Built in 1884, Pier A, at the southern edge of Battery Park City, is the oldest pier of its kind in Manhattan. Starting at the Skyscraper Museum, across the street from Wagner Park, we will explore the landmarks that anchor the new neighborhood built on landfill that covered the old finger piers of the working waterfront. Kids will make a group drawing on a large roll of paper of an imaginary pier and enliven it with fish and boats they will make of colored paper and popsicle sticks. Recommended for 1st-5th grade.

Pre-registration is required at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/piers-of-the-past-public-parks-tickets-158290518201

Presented by The Skyscraper Museum in partnership with Battery Park City Authority
