NYPD Pipe Band 9/11 Memorial Parade

The NYPD Emerald Society’s Pipes & Drums Annual 9/11 Memorial Parade will occur on Friday, September 9. The event will start an noon on Broadway and Liberty Street, proceed south on Broadway, turn left on Battery Place and proceed into Battery Park City and to the New York City Police Memorial.

Battery Park City residents should be advised that, as is common parade practice, all trash receptacles will be removed along the parade route between 7:00pm and 9:00pm on the evening of Thursday, September 8. Specifically, trash receptacles will be removed from the following locations:

  • Battery Place – from West Street to West Thames Street
  • South End Avenue – from West Thames Street to Liberty Street
  • Liberty Street – from South End Avenue to West Street
