BPC ICYMI | MEET ME IN THE KITCHEN – CELEBRATE TRADITION!

Last Monday, June 4, BPCA hosted its second installment of the “Meet Me in the Kitchen — Celebrate Tradition,” a free cooking class series with community partners BPC Seniors and Asphalt Green.

Roughly 30 eager attendees gathered in the Asphalt Green kitchen at 212 North End Avenue to learn French baking from talented pastry chef, Elizabeth Lind of Inatteso Café Casano.

In the workshop portion of the class, participants were guided step-by-step through two recipes, becoming skilled at making savory quiches and delicious pate a choux.

Everyone then had a chance to try their own hand at some French baking, customizing their own personal pastries.

The class ended with each attendee going home with their treats, as well as with recipes of their very own to replicate their culinary lesson again and again.

Class newcomer Dorothy said she “loved the presentation and instructor” and would “absolutely come back.”

Attendee Esther noted: “I really enjoy the sessions and look forward to the next one.”
