– The BPC Ball Fields and Pier A perimeter walkway have been reopened.
– West Thames Street Bridge elevators are back in service and public restrooms have been reopened.
– NY Waterway will be returning to a normal schedule on Wednesday February 3. More details including schedules may be found here.
UPDATE, 2/2:
– Liberty Park, closed temporarily due to the winter storm, has reopened.
– Service between Paulus Hook and the BPC / Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal has been partially restored. Service is expected to run throughout the day with departures approximately every 15 minutes. The terminal will close after the final departure, which is scheduled for 7:00 PM. NY Waterway may end service earlier, depending on conditions.
It’s a winter blast!
As we prepare for the coming winter storm, please find the following information about what’s open and closed in Battery Park City.
What’s Open:
– Teardrop Park’s lawns will be open for sledding
– Rockefeller Park’s North Lawn and the Wagner Park Terrace, opened for public access throughout the winter, will remain open for socially-distanced recreation
What’s Closed:
– New York Waterway has cancelled all service for Monday February 1, and the BPC / Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal will be closed accordingly until further notice.
– Public restrooms at Wagner Park and Teardrop Park are closed, to reopen once initial snow removal operations are complete.
– Elevators at the Wagner Park Pavilion and West Thames Street Bridge are closed, to reopen once initial snow removal operations are complete.
– The BPC Ball Fields and Irish Hunger Memorial are closed until further notice.
