"Battery Park City and the Authority are not just about the buildings – it’s about the character of the community that has developed over time. Public space has had a new renaissance in New York City, but here in Battery Park City is where it started."
On Friday, October 16, Rockefeller Park Playground reopened to the community after completion of a full restoration project. The playground now features all new equipment and play surface for kids at one of Battery Park City’s most popular destinations.
Restoration of Rockefeller Park playground marks the fourth and final playground repair project BPCA has completed since 2019 joining (clockwise from top left)Kowsky Plaza, Teardrop Park’s water play area, and the P.S. 89 playground.
We hope to see you on the playground soon!
