BPC PEOPLE – FRANCES CAPERCHI

Title: Programming Manager, Creative Arts and Events

Favorite BPC Spot: South Cove

A native of Rome, Italy, Frances Caperchi came to the United States to attend Hampshire College in Massachusetts, where she studied Arts Management with a minor in Ethnomusicology. Her first job after college was as a production assistant at the Brooklyn Academy of music, where she did theatre production work. She later went on to become a tour manager for a West African band and learned a lot of the skills she utilizes today in BPCA Programming department.

In 2017, Frances was hired as a Programming Manager for Creative Arts & Events for the Battery Park City Authority. In this role, she helps her team plan, create, and manage all special events involving music, art and theatre for all ages. She has especially enjoyed planning and managing the annual River & Blues outdoor summer concert series, but also holds a special place for the Saturday Family Workshops, which promote local artists.

When she’s not planning and working events for Battery Park City, Frances enjoys going to concerts, cooking, dancing salsa and learning new languages (she currently speaks four!).

You can meet Frances and the programming team at these upcoming events:
