"Battery Park City and the Authority are not just about the buildings – it’s about the character of the community that has developed over time. Public space has had a new renaissance in New York City, but here in Battery Park City is where it started."
Feeling chipper! BPCA’s annual tree recycling program is coming up. Here’s how to participate: Simply place your unadorned tree curbside through Friday, January 28 for pickup – no stands, lights, ornaments, or tinsel, please – and we’ll take care of the rest.
As the holiday season wraps up each year, the Authority collects Christmas trees to chip and use for composting, plant protection, and soil insulation and enrichment throughout Battery Park City’s parks. With your help we’ve collected more than 10,000 trees over the past five years!
Thank you for your help in keeping Battery Park City beautiful!
