The Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) today released its Fall 2022 Program & Event Guide, detailing a broad range of free, in-person and virtual programming – including music, dance, nature, poetry, film, cooking, athletics, and more – across Battery Park City’s parks and public spaces through December. The Guide features illustrated program offerings organized by monthly event highlights and by those of interest to adults and seniors, school-aged children, and preschoolers, as well as information about temporary public art in Battery Park City. Now available on BPCA’s website, hard copies of the Guide are arriving to all mailing list subscribers this week and is also available in New York State’s ten most common non-English languages. Interested individuals can subscribe to the mailing list online at bpca.ny.gov/events/, by phone at (212) 267-9700, or at any BPCA program or event.

“We look forward to providing another season full of free programming for all ages,” said BPCA President & Chief Executive Officer B.J. Jones. “We invite everyone to come and enjoy the wide range of dynamic and diverse events that will be held throughout our many parks and public spaces.”

“I always look forward to seeing Battery Park City’s diverse range of seasonal events, and the schedule this fall includes a great line-up of fun and community-oriented activities like music showcases, movie nights, and sports events for folks of all ages,” said State Senator Brian Kavanagh, who represents Battery Park City. “I encourage residents and visitors alike to take advantage of this great programming and enjoy all that Battery Park City has to offer this fall.”

“It’s always a pleasure to see the wide range of free cultural and educational events presented by the Battery Park City Authority each Fall,” said Assemblymember Deborah J. Glick. “I commend BPCA for offering programming to enrich and inspire residents and visitors to Lower Manhattan. These events reflect the breadth and diversity of New York City and will provide opportunities to celebrate the arts and learn about environmental stewardship while enjoying our waterfront community.”

“I am delighted to see the variety of public activities that the BPCA has put together for this fall,” said Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou. “Our open spaces and the public events that happen there are critical to building and maintaining a sense of community in the city. I encourage all to check out the list and participate!”

“As the weather cools, the Lower Manhattan Community will enjoy their open spaces to the fullest through the Battery Park City Authority’s Fall Programming,” said Tammy Meltzer, Chairperson of Manhattan Community Board 1. “We look forward to watching the leaves turn and enjoying the BPC Parks and green spaces as they are an irreplaceable jewel that make this community so unique.”
