Opening of an interim park in Battery Park City, as residents of the neighboring area were itching for green space. Today, the barrier at the North Cove Marina displays the Frank O’Hara quote, “One need never leave the confines of New York to get all the greenery one wishes.” One-third parkland, Battery Park City is now far from devoid of green space!
