NORTH / WEST BATTERY PARK CITY RESILIENCY PROJECT: WALKSHOPS!

Free registration here

Come walk with us!

The North / West Battery Park City Resiliency Project is one of three interrelated resiliency infrastructure projects BPCA has underway to harden and protect the Battery Park City from the threats of future storm surge and sea level rise.

The north section of this project will span BPC’s North Esplanade, entail a deployable barrier crossing West Street, and extend into western Tribeca. The west section of the project will create a new line of protection along the waterfront and connect to the South BPC Resiliency Project upon completion. See the latest presentation about the N/WBPC Resiliency Project and watch the video here.

To continue providing opportunity for public participation in BPC’s resiliency projects, over the coming weeks we’re hosting a series of free walking workshops – “Walkshops” – through the North/West Battery Park City Resiliency Project area.

Eight, one-hour walking sessions are planned for Thursday, October 28 and Thursday, November 4, each focusing on a specific location in the project area. Join as many sessions as you wish – sessions are scheduled both early and late in the day for the convenience of attendees.

– Interact with project team members on existing conditions and climate change impacts

– Visualize and ask questions about key project areas

– Provide input and ideas
